The entire police force of a small town in Mexico has quit after gunmen attacked their headquarters. Skip related content
Los Ramones Mayor Santos Salinas said 14 members of the police force told him they quit earlier this week.
The police station in Los Ramones was heavily attacked on Monday night by a group of men armed with grenades and assault weapons.
The attack lasted for 15 minutes and left the building and the police vehicles riddled with bullet holes.
There were no human casualties but a police dog was killed by the assailants. Five agents were inside the building at the time of the attack but protected themselves hiding in one of the backrooms.
